Navigating the expansive network of community and social services provided by government and the not for profit sector can be challenging. With the launch of 211 Nova Scotia in February of 2013, thousands of community and social services available across the province are now just a phone call or mouse click away.
goodNS.ca
It has been exciting and challenging work over the past few years on the goodNS website. We thank you all for your support and feedback since 211 added the goodNS brand. Moving forward, 211 Nova Scotia has made the decision to focus on other core projects and initiatives and will no longer be hosting goodNS.ca.
We strongly believe in and value the volunteer sector in Nova Scotia and will continue to direct people who call 211 to the many organizations who rely on volunteers on a daily basis to ensure people can still connect with the organizations and causes that matter most to them. We will also support in any way we can, any future endeavors to create a province-wide volunteer matching website.
Thank you. For information about volunteering in your community, you can contact 211 directly by dialing 2-1-1, through email at help@ns.211.ca or by texting 211.
211 is available 24/7, in English and French and for the hearing impaired. There are also interpretation services available in over 100 languages.
