211 Nova Scotia Announces New Executive Director
19 December 2023As a result of a comprehensive executive search conducted by our Board of Directors, we are delighted to announce that Marco Colaiacovo, is the incoming Executive Director of 211 Nova Scotia.
A resident of Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Marco brings a wealth of experience in the contact center sector having worked for 9 years with HGS Canada, a global leader in the contact center sector, specializing in business process management and optimizing customer experience. Over his 9-year career with HGS, Marco held several senior leadership roles including General Manager – Operations, and Director – Client Services. As Senior Director of the Global Work at Home program, he was responsible for team leadership, budget management, business process management, optimizing customer experience lifecycle, leading digital transformation, and developing and implementing a Global Home Agent program in coordination with local government partners.
As a community volunteer, Marco has organized fundraising efforts for United Way via the Contact Centre Challenge, raising significant funds for critical causes in Nova Scotia. He also previously served as a Board Director and Fundraising Chair of the Yarmouth Golf Club and is currently helping the Board of the Italian Canadian Cultural Centre finalize their strategic plan.
In addition to his people leadership, government relations, operational, financial, data analysis and board governance experience, we know that Marco’s warm and authentic leadership style aligns well with the committed, caring culture embodied by the entire 211 team.
