Promotes and protects the health of all communities in Nova Scotia. Includes 3 core programs:

  • Early Years: Supports families who are expecting, or who have infants or young children
  • Health Protection: Provides immunization services and support and prevents the spread of infectious diseases
  • Healthy Communities: Promotes health and identifies needs and opportunities within communities to support health and wellness

Holds regular immunization clinics at local offices and in communities across the province, which provides an opportunity for people to get caught up on routine vaccines, particularly if they do not have a primary care provider.
