- Description
- Supports family caregivers by providing access to respite beds for their loved ones in licensed long-term care facilities (nursing homes) across the province. There is also an option available for children.
A person may stay in a licensed respite bed for up to a total of 60 days within a calendar year. However, to ensure fair access to the beds during the high demand periods (July 1 to October 1), no more than 30 days can be scheduled. - Eligibility

A Continuing Care team member will help you assess your needs and the services that would best meet them. If you are already a client of Continuing Care, but feel your needs have changed, contact your care coordinator or other continuing care team member.
