Urgent treatment centres are not the same as emergency departments. They do not receive ambulances, and only see patients by appointment.
Anyone experiencing a life-threatening illness or injury should call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency department.
Some examples of urgent, non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries include:

- Simple fractures
- Limb strains
- Mild muscle strains/sprains
- Mild headaches
- Earaches
- Minor infections
- Skin and eye irritations
- Mild asthma
- Small lacerations
- Mild mental health support
