Continuing Care – Health Equipment Loan Program – Bed Loan Program

Service Description

Provides hospital-type beds to eligible Nova Scotians who need specialized beds in their homes.

The program is funded by the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness and is administered through the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the Canadian Red Cross. The loaned beds are delivered and assembled in the client's home by the Canadian Red Cross.

Eligibility

Residents of Nova Scotia with a valid Nova Scotia health card • Meet the criteria for the program as deemed by a care coordinator

Application Process

The one number to call to connect with Continuing Care services is 1-800-225-7225 (toll free across North America)

A care coordinator will help you assess your needs and the services that would best meet them. If you are already a client of Continuing Care, but feel your needs have changed, contact your care coordinator.
