Service Description

Provides victims/survivors of sexual assault (16 years and older) with up to 4 hours of free independent legal advice.

Eligibility

Open to anyone ages 16 years or older who has experienced a sexual assault in Nova Scotia

Application Process

Contact 211 Nova Scotia to be assessed for eligibility and complete an intake form. The form can be completed over the phone or it can be mailed or emailed for completion by the client.

Applications sent out via mail will include a postage paid return envelope to 211 and will be mailed out in a plain white envelope with no return address.

Once intake is completed, 211 will mail/email a list of approved lawyers biographies, certificate numbers, and resource information to clients approved for the program.
