Service Description
Provides people in financial need with assistance with basic needs such as food, rent, utilities, and clothing. The program may also help with other needs such as child care, transportation, prescription drugs, emergency dental care, and eye glasses.
On a monthly basis, clients may receive a Standard Household Rate amount based on the household size and the type of residence lived in (boarding, renting, home ownership, or other), plus any special needs they are eligible for.

Application Process
To apply for Income Assistance, you must discuss your financial situation with a caseworker and complete an application to determine your eligibility • Call the toll free Intake Line to complete application over the phone
Documents Required
The caseworker will ask for the following information: Social Insurance Number (SIN) • Income and assets • Bank statements for your account • Any other information that can help the caseworker understand your financial situation and your family situation
