Service Description

This program provides affordable rental housing to families in need and offers rental rates that do not exceed 25% of a family's total gross income.

The units are fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator and most of them include heat and hot water. Some units are accessible for people with physical disabilities. There are units located across Nova Scotia.

Eligibility

To qualify for one of these units, you must complete an application form and meet the guidelines for income, residency and core need established by the Nova Scotia Provincial Housing Agency.

Special priority is given to victims of family violence, those whose homes have been condemned, or those who have a need to live near a hospital.

Rent is based on household income.
