Service Description

Website provides an online registration form to be placed on the wait list for a family doctor or nurse practitioner. It also allows anyone currently registered to change or cancel their request. When a primary care provider is accepting new patients, the practice will either contact you directly, or Nova Scotia Health Authority will contact you.

Registration can be completed by calling 8-1-1 if applicant does not have a Nova Scotia health card number or prefers to complete process by phone.

If you are registering for a family member, such as your children or spouse, please have their information ready to complete the registration on their behalf.

If you have already registered in the past, through Primary Health Care Connections via the toll free line, your information has been entered into the new system and you are registered. If you need to update your personal information (i.e. new address or phone number) please call 8-1-1.

Open to all who do not have a family doctor or nurse practitioner
